S&S was founded in 1876 as Sayers and Scovill Company by William Sayers and A.R. Scovill and were coachbuilding specialists. They were more famous for the funeral limousines.
The Cadillac made Fleetwood 75 was a very long car having a long chassis. With a 6.0 litre V8 engine, this car was the ideal model for the S&S Superior Ambulance. Several of these were made for clients across the country.
