Totally handcrafted, this model, the Bugatti Typ 57 SC was created by Jean Bugatti, son of Etoire Bugatti. From just one model he created four variants – Atlante or Atlantic in English (coupe), Galibier (4-door saloon), Ventoux (2-door saloon) and the Stelvio (convertible).
Jean Bugatti chose a material that was beyond the realm of a conventional auto maker. He chose to use a material called Elektron that was a magnesium alloy with a small percentage of aluminium content. Because this was a specially developed alloy material. Welding was not possible and so he riveted the sheet panels. This coupled with her unique design made the car ahead of her times.
Only 3 models of the Atlantic variant were produced.
