Carl F. W. Borgward GmbH, the automobile manufacturer made this model for about 8 years starting from 1954. Though supposed to be named as Hansa 1500, for some reason it was named as Isabella. Over 11,000 were produced and for some time the Borgward company thought that they will beat competing Mercedes-Benz's 180 as this model was a good competition for both Opel and Ford sedans, but it didn't happen so.
The car had enough interior space to offer comfort and had small frills such as a cigarette lighter, clock, etc. It could do about 130 km/hr.
