Based on the Borgward truck model called B4000, the bus version was labelled BO 4000 and it rolled out in 1951.
Powered by a 5-litre straight-six diesel engine about 200 were produced for six years until 1957. This bus model could carry 33 passengers and her top speed was 75 km/hr.
This bus is a rendition of the original bus made in the year 1952, that plied on the island of Sylt, a 38 km land mass in the North Sea and part of Germany. There is a figure of the Falcon between the words Wander Falke (in German it is a peregrine falcon).
