It was in 1957 that Berliet introduced the GBK series of trucks as a replacement model for the earlier produced GLB model. With a more spacious cabin, this truck carried a MAN-made 9.5-litre diesel engine (called "Magic"). With a new chassis and integrated headlamps, the Berliet GBK 75 could carry a payload of 7.5 tons.
DEMECO, a packers and movers firm, purchased several of these models. This scale model is an exact rendition of one of their trucks.
