The development of the Rolls-Royce 2-door luxury car Corniche was the work of its in-house bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner Park Ward (MPW) under designer Bill Allen. The first model rolled out in 1971, and they were produced until 1987. The Corniche was also produced under the Bentley brand since 1971.
In 1977, there were a few technical changes such as the twin carburettors being replaced by a single Solex made 4-barrel carburettor and the introduction of a Bosch KE/K-Jetronic fuel injection. While the engine was the same 6.7-litre V8 engine, this Corniche model came with a General Motors made 3-speed automatic transmission.
This scale model is a rendition of this 1977 model.
