Designed by Fritz Fiedler, who later went on to become the Chairman of BMW AG, the BMW made 531 was a small 2-door, 2-seater whose inspiration came from an Austin, UK model.
This car was equipped by a modified BMW made 600cc motorcycle engine and was the first car made by BMW after the end of World War II.
This car however was only produced as a prototype but could not be rolled-out as mass production, as the management of BMW felt that the cost of manufacturing this microcar was higher given the cost of sheet metal, post WWII.
An extremely rare microcar collectible.
