Entirely handbuilt, each Aston Martin V8 car took little more than 1200 man-hours (or 5 months) to be completed. The first model rolled out in 1969 and by the time the model was discontinued, Aston Martin had built nearly 4000 cars.
The updated V8 model was named as Vantage and appeared in 1977 with new set of carburettors, camshafts, etc. that increased the power by nearly 40% over her predecessor. This allowed the car to go to top speeds of 270 km and do 0-100 km/hr in little over 5 seconds.
Then just after a year, Aston Martin brought out the convertible version - Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante.
