Aston Martin’s relationship with a world-famous Italian design house, Zagato began way back in the 1960’s with the creation of the Aston Martin DB4 GT. To celebrate their 50-year-old relationship, Aston Martin commissioned Zagato to create another unique car. This resulted in the making of the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish by Zagato.
The first model rolled out in 2012 with twin Ford made Duratec V6 engines (labelled as Aston Martin AM11 V12 engine) that delivered a powerful 450 hp. Each car was priced over Rs. 3 crore, and because it was pricey, sales volume was low, and finally about 60 cars were produced until 2018.
