The Alpine A443 was an updated version of the A442 with a 2.1 litre engine. Sitting inside a steel spaceframe chassis, this car had a longer tail section to keep up with the aerodynamics.
Primarily designed to give top fight against the Porche 336, this car was notable for its acrylic glass air-bubble like top that helped to give an additional speed of 8 km/hr.
