Produced as the successor to the earlier made Alfa Romeo 1900 Super, the Alfa Romeo 2000 was a luxury car with the technical name Type 102 (Tipo 102, in Italian).
Produced during the years 1958-1962, the Alfa Romeo 2000 had a monocoque body and a 1975 cc engine with two Solex made carburettors producing almost 115 hp. With solid axle at the rear and double wishbone suspension in the front, these cars were superceded by the introduction of Alfa Romeo 2600. While the 4-door version was made by the factory itself, other coachbuilders who built them were Bertone (Sprint) and Touring (Spyder).
But this model's one interesting aspect was the chrome moulding on the sides of the body - it starts at the front and ends half-way at the rear door.
