In German, an eagle is called an 'adler'. At one time, Adler used to manufacturer typewriters as well as automobiles, motorcycles too.
More famously known as "Highway Adler", this 2.5 litre engine car created quite a sensation when it was launched in 1937, only for one reason - her streamlined body.
The body was built by well-known firm called Arthur Müller Bauten und Industriewerke – Budd (it was a joint venture firm with American company called Budd) who gave her shape so sleek that many felt that it was the perfect car for the newly built autobahn’s (highways) in Germany. Over 5000 of these Adler Convertible's for the next three years until 1940.
A rare Adler collectible.
