First introduced in 1939, the Routemaster buses that were developed jointly with the help of London Transport were present on roads for nearly 40 years. The AEC Regent III can be named as the father of all Routemaster buses and over 7000 were built by the AEC (associated Equipment Company).
Guernsey is one of the Channel Islands in the English Channel near the French coast, and is a self-governing British Crown dependency. This Routemaster (RT) bus operated for tourists in the island.
